Hakafa's Education Justice Group is committed to working toward an equitable public educational system throughout Illinois and beyond. It seeks to do this through education on the issues, exploration of the Jewish perspective, evaluation of various solutions, and advocacy for reform at all governmental levels. At the same time, the group offers opportunities for members of the congregation to help students in low-performing schools throughout the Chicago area through a tutoring program.
