Mirembe Kawomera (Ugandan) Coffee

In 2008, Congregation Hakafa developed a relationship with a visionary group of coffee farmers in Uganda who have created a cooperative of Jews, Muslims, and Christians. Together they are growing and distributing their world-famous coffee beans to promote harmony and prosperity in their community. There is much we can learn from them and we, in turn, can help them by promoting the Fair Trade sale of their coffee - Mirembe Kawomera ("Delicious Peace").

Through Hakafa, you are able to purchase whole bean and ground Mirembe Kawomera coffee in dark roast, light roast, and decaf.  You can give the coffee a try on the first Sunday of each month at Religious School, tell your friends and neighbors about it, and become part of the dream of peace with the Ugandan coffee growers of Mirembe Kawomera ("Delicious Peace").

To learn more about Mirembe Kawomera and Fair Trade coffee, or to place an order, please contact Hakafa members, Rebecca Cohen or Carol McCardell.
