Worship

Adonai, open up my lips...  Ps. 51:1

We are a Reform Jewish Congregation that enjoys an informal warmth in prayer and song.

We pray in Hebrew and English.  We pray in several places; usually at the Winnetka Community House, but also in members' homes, at the Skokie Lagoons, or on the beach.  Kabbalat Shabbat services are held every Friday night.  Shabbat morning minyan is held twice a month.  We have a monthly family service.  We observe all Jewish holidays and festivals. We do not assign dates for Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations.  Families and the Rabbi choose a day and time together.  We have a Religious School and Hebrew School program that prepare children for becoming b'nai mitzvah.
