Join us for this month's film! We will be screening Praying with Lior.

Shot over three years in a close-knit Jewish Reconstructionist community in Philadelphia, "Praying with Lior" documents the extraordinary life of Lior Liebling. Lior is the son of two rabbis and has Down syndrome.  He also has an intense love of prayer, which is revealed as Lior prepares for his bar mitzvah.  As one reviewer put it, this documentary, which won multiple awards and was acclaimed by audiences around the world, “challenges our beliefs about who and how one speaks to God.”

We are delighted to have our very own Rabbi Bruce Elder present this movie.

Join us for dinner at 6:00 p.m. We’ll be ordering pizza from Little Red Hen, so please contact Carol McCardell by noon on the 27th to R.S.V.P. for dinner ($5 per person). Or, simply come for the movie at 7:00.

Feel free to bring friends, family, salads (especially welcome), beverages, and/or a nosh, but no popcorn please!

Please contact Carol McCardell with questions.
