Night at Ravinia!
Come to Ravinia with Hakafa for an evening picnic and concert! While organized by Hakafa's Kadima members, anyone from Hakafa (or family and friends) is welcome!
This 8:00 concert features the popular violinist Joshua Bell. Use this link to learn more: https://www.ravinia.org/ShowDetails/Index?id=1391.
Lawn admission is $10 ($8 for over 65). Buy tickets at the main gate in advance or on the concert day. Or at the north or south gates on the concert day. NOTE: there's a fee if you buy on line, with an additional on-line fee the day of the concert. Lawn tickets for classical concerts are never completely sold out, so you should be able to buy ickets at the park.
We plan to send people early to stake out territory for the group (gates open for non-donors at 5:00). Bring your own dinner (and blankets/chairs) to eat and visit before the concert begins. If you don't like the idea of the concert on the lawn, buy $25 pavilion seats and eat/visit with the group before the concert. Let us know if as soon as possible if you're interested so we can begin planning.
NOTE: Parking is free at downtown Highland Park and Ravinia (NOT Ravinia Park) train stations, with a free shuttle from those lots. The bus goes to the north entrance, where you can use machines to buy your tickets. People get on those buses with picnic baskets and chairs all the time, so don't be self-conscious! Ravinia Park parking is not cheap, and you will be ticketed if you park on neighborhood streets by the park.
We hope you can make it!
