Hakafa Outing to see "Indecent"

Join Hakafa members to see the play Indecent. In Indecent, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, Paula Vogel, tells the explosive and deeply moving story of the controversial 1923 Broadway debut of Jewish playwright, Sholem Asch’s, God of Vengeance—a Yiddish play about a forbidden lesbian romance that enchanted and outraged audiences. Inspired by true events, Indecent is performed by an ensemble of seven actors and three musicians portraying more than 40 roles to chart an explosive moment in theatrical history and the artists who risked their careers and lives to perform it. The performance will be followed by a panel discussion on Yiddish theater and its impact on popular culture.

Tickets will be available at a reduced rate of $26.50 per person for our group. Please contact Dave Millman (dave_millman@yahoo.com) to reserve your spot and secure the group rate. We will set up car-pooling when the date gets closer.
